We will enjoy four days and nights at incomparable Angkor, with its marvelous monuments build from the 8th-13th Centuries A.D. In addition, we will learn about the difficult Khmer Rouge period in the 1970s, as well as explore contemporary culture, especially the woodcarving, stone sculpture, silk weaving and classical dancing which has been revived in and around Seam Reap.
A highlight will be dinner with our Khmer family friends. The last day we will drive across the countryside, stopping to see village life on our way to the capital Phnom Penh, where we will conclude this trip extension and fly home or on to Bangkok.
